Project Overview
The relationship between wellbeing and learning and its importance for the future of work is an integral part of Learnovate’s evolving research agenda. We have seen a growing interest in the area through our interactions with industry leaders. Through our research we aim to understand how wellbeing impacts employees and their learning, and how companies can foster employee wellbeing.
Wellbeing has been a topic of research and debate for centuries. Research suggests levels of wellbeing are decreasing. Even before the pandemic, people reported the lowest levels of wellbeing and engagement ever. Organisations no longer perceive wellbeing solutions as ‘nice to have’ or an add-on. They realise wellbeing solutions can provide their organisation with a competitive advantage in attracting and retaining talent. Talent that has the skills and resilience to manage the ongoing change we all experience.
Workplace Wellbeing Project Timeline
The conversation is shifting to ask how we can design wellbeing into our lives to live meaningful lives and flourish. Learnovate’s research focused on understanding the factors at play in wellbeing both at the individual and organisational level. We are forming a research working group with Learnovate researchers and industry partners to identify the challenges organisations face around employee wellbeing. We aim to develop a technology-driven solution to help solve these challenges.
