Perform Project

This document presents a new Learnovate core project examining the field of performance management in the workplace. This is one of the first projects to follow the newly defined Learnovate process for core project development. This project has been defined as a Learnovate Labs focused core project. This means the project has a more short-term commercial focus when compared to research-driven core projects which will typically be longer-term in scope.

The aim of this phase of the project is to identify a potential commercial opportunity including prospective customers. This includes the identification of a detailed problem area that these customers have, market trends and analysis in the area, and an initial solution that can narrow the focus for further research and understanding of the problem. This will also allow for the validation phase to be implemented with customers to test the proposed approach.

In alignment with the new Learnovate core project development process, this project has also focused on addressing Work Package 1 of the Learnovate Labs business plan which states:

Work Package 1: Identify and define the first API area we will develop and test

Aim: clarify the specific area of focus and specific proposed technical treatment. We currently believe this will be around the assessment and management of business competencies in the workplace, but the purpose of the work package is to ensure that we have a clear and specific plan on the product and technology offering we want to build and test.

Work Package 2 will attempt to validate the Problem-Solution Fit and Work Package 3 will attempt to validate the Product-Market Fit. Subsequently, if Problem-Solution Fit & Product-Market Fit are validated then Work Package 4 will develop an offering for commercial release.

Research Outputs

This concept is based on the idea that authentic learning experiences incorporate challenges across multiple different levels.
