Join us for our third Link & Learn of 2023 “A Focus on Learner Engagement & Motivation”.
Learner engagement and motivation is something that all Learnovate members identify with as a challenge and pain point, particularly as we progress beyond the pandemic. In this session we will look at some of the key research completed by the Learnovate team and discuss some of the potential solutions to address the issues.
We will also examine the potential effect the latest developments in AI might have on learner engagement as well as motivation. We want you, the audience to share your own theories and predictions in this space and help drive the conversation.

Keynote: “Motivation for Learning in a Digital World” Peter Gillis | Innovation Services Lead | Learnovate
Peter holds a first-class honours degree in Psychology, the focus of his research was cognitive theory of multimedia learning. In 2012, he completed an MSc in Technology Enhanced Learning at Trinity College Dublin. His research interest is the interaction between motivation and technology-enhanced learning. Peter is currently developing his research on motivation and learning through the PhD programme at TCD.
Panel Chair: Maeve Daly | Director, Product Management | Mastercard
Maeve has 20+ years of experience in learning design, learning content development, and online learning technologies. She holds an MSc in Education and Training Management.

Paraic has over 30 years experience in delivering large-scale information technology projects in the public and private sectors. He is a former Technology Partner with Deloitte Consulting.
