Tacit Knowledge ‒ Demo Video – Manager
An organisation’s employees can embody a vast wealth of tacit knowledge that is vital for success. This know-how often exists in isolated pockets within organisations and can be challenging to capture, share and access. This project explores some of the deeper challenges relating to motivating employees to share knowledge, making connections between employees and validating the quality of contributed knowledge.
To explore these challenges we designed Tact, a tacit knowledge management platform that focuses on motivating employees to share their knowledge through a gamification framework that recognises their contributions while allowing the organisation to identify and reward employees that are having a positive impact on productivity and efficiency. Tacit’s built in feedback mechanisms are aligned with organisational needs by linking knowledge shared to problems solved and the associated time and cost savings.
