K12 Pedagogy Researcher, Learnovate

Helena is a K12 Pedagogy Researcher at the Learnovate Centre, Trinity College Dublin, with extensive teaching experience across Japan, Italy, and Ireland, giving her a broad perspective on global best practices in education. She has led literacy initiatives, supported IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) accreditation and High Performance Learning (HPL) recognition, and designed inclusive, inquiry-driven curricula grounded in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), integrating digital technologies to foster learner voice and choice.

At Learnovate, Helena applies her diverse experience to European research projects, advancing innovative, inclusive, and technology-enhanced education while bridging research and classroom practice. Helena holds a Bachelor of Arts from Dublin City University and both a Postgraduate Higher Diploma in Education and a Master’s in Education from Trinity College Dublin.
