The European Learning Industry Group’s (ELIG) celebrated its tenth anniversary by holding its annual two-day meeting in Dublin on 1st and 2nd October 2012. The Centre was pleased to jointly host the event with Enterprise Ireland and Intel Ireland.
The theme of the event was: “Towards the Next Decade of Innovation for Learning and Knowledge” and brought together over seventy industry experts, policy-makers and academic specialists from across Europe to discuss the future of learning technologies and innovation in learning.
On day one, The Centre’s chairman, Jonny Parkes gave a presentation on the evolution of innovation in learning and the role Irish companies have played. In the afternoon, our academic director, Professor Vinny Wade, spoke on the panel session “Creating the skills of tomorrow – learning as we go”.
Day two was hosted by Intel Ireland who provided a factory tour followed by parallel workshop sessions on how to invigorate learning in all sectors: education, workplace and lifelong learning.
