Siobhan Ryan

Siobhan Ryan’s career spans scientific research, industry leadership, entrepreneurship and education, driven by curiosity, adaptability and a passion for making science impactful.  With degrees in Biochemistry, Environmental Science and Education, she progressed at Diageo from lab assistant to Brewing Shift Manager, leading teams and delivering operational improvements.

Returning to STEM as a secondary school science teacher during the COVID lockdowns, she saw both the potential and limitations of digital tools, inspiring her to found WiseSalmon in 2021. The edtech startup, supported by Enterprise Ireland’s New Frontiers Programme, used AI and machine learning to create curriculum-aligned exam practice tools.

Now Learning Lead for the Diotima Project at Trinity College Dublin, she works with both an academic team and the Learnovate team to develop an AI-enabled platform that combines pedagogical research and AI technology to deliver scalable, evidence-based feedback solutions for teachers and students.
