Tom Early

Responsible for delivering Enterprise Ireland’s new Investment Strategy, leading the investment team that originates, analyses and completes direct equity investments to accelerate client growth from preseed to scale.

Previously responsible for developing Enterprise Ireland’s strategic engagement with rapidly scaling clients, with a particular focus on strengthening the funding ecosystem. Earlier roles include serving as Head of Equity and Legal, overseeing EI’s investment strategy and managing a portfolio of 3,600 investments with a cost of €433m.

Brings a strong track record of supporting companies across multiple sectors and lifecycle stages in shaping and executing growth strategies and securing appropriate finance to scale. Prior to joining Enterprise Ireland, accumulated over nine years’ experience in telecoms, banking and consulting. A qualified CIMA Accountant with a Master of Business from the IMI and a degree in Business Studies (Economics & Finance) from Waterford Institute of Technology, complemented by executive programmes at IMD (Switzerland), Stanford University and EVCA.
