Towards Socio-technical Design for Responsible Voice-enabled AI: Long-term Embedding in Primary School Classrooms.

Voice-enabled AI is showing promise in primary classrooms, but responsible long-term integration requires more than technical performance or short-term gains. This paper proposes a socio-technical approach that places students, teachers, parents, and AI within a shared educational ecosystem, while addressing risks such as anthropomorphism, empathy gap, privacy, and children’s wellbeing.
