By Paul O’Raw, Learnovate
Learnovate’s Learning Sciences Researcher Paul O’Raw recently participated in the 2019 SOCIETIES BROKERAGE event in Warsaw, Poland. The international information day highlighted the scope of the research topics covered within the 2019 call for proposals in the Societal Challenge 6 programme: Europe in a changing world – inclusive, innovative and reflective Societies of Horizon 2020.
The organisers also facilitated a research ‘matchmaking’ event designed to connect those working on similar topics in the 2019 Societal Challenge 6 call for proposals. The matchmaking event gave participants the opportunity to join pre-arranged one-to-one meetings to identify potential collaborators and facilitate the establishment of Horizon 2020 project consortia.
Paul had meetings with researchers from various European universities and research institutions, including – University of Warsaw (Poland), University of Groningen (Netherlands), University of Graz (Austria), University of Jyvaskyla (Lithuania), Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Spain), Aleksandras Stuliginakis University (Lithuania), State Education Development Agency (Latvia), and project intelligence company WeDo (Spain).
