Bob Regan

Bob Regan is an education leader and product strategist passionate about advancing teaching and learning through technology, research, and community.

Bob previously served as Chair of the Learnovate Thought Leaders Circle, a collaborative network of education leaders exploring the transformative potential of technology in learning design and instructional practice.

He most recently served as Head of Curriculum at the XQ Institute, leading the development of XQ Math, an Algebra I curriculum integrating project-based learning with mastery-based assessment. He also oversaw exemplar Learning Experiences (LXs) and tools supporting educators across disciplines and contributed to XQ’s emerging AI strategy, developing training corpora for curriculum generation and performance assessment.

Previously, Bob was Senior Director of Education at Gates Ventures, where he led the Big History Project, World History Project, and Climate Project—free, standards-aligned curricula used in thousands of schools. He also introduced AI-based assessment supports and innovative professional development models for teachers.

Bob began his career teaching math, French, and technology in Chicago and New York City. He holds a Master’s in Elementary Education from Columbia University Teachers College and has held leadership roles at Macromedia, Adobe Systems, and Pearson Education, driving global education strategy and product innovation.
