It was also a huge surprise to be nominated for the Excellence Award which featured 7 organisations chosen from the 54 entrants on the night. The 6 other organisations shortlisted were The Insurance Institute, The Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists, The Law Society of Ireland, Woven and NAPD who were the overall winners on the night.
This was Learnovate’s first year to enter the Awards and were up against stiff competition from established membership-led organisations, IAPI – Institute of Advertising Practitioners Ireland, Restaurants Association of Ireland and The Corporate Governance Institute.
In 2020 Learnovate revolutionised their membership offering by establishing a three tier model that ensures membership is open to organisations of all sizes and democratises access to research and expertise. The Learnovate community now comprises of over 80 organisations that range from multinationals such as Zoom to State Agencies such as SOLAS and a range of start-ups.
Accompanying the team on the night was Michelle Olmstead Chief Innovation and Enterprise Officer at Trinity College Dublin as well as two Patron Members of Learnovate,Michelle Thompson of Skillnet Ireland and Elva Casey of Hibernia College.
