Link & Learn webinar: Innovation in L&D Systems

We are delighted to kick off the 2023 series of Link & Learn webinars with a look into “Innovation in L&D Systems”.
Firstly, Senior Learnovate Researcher Ilse White, share her thoughts on the research about the latest developments, biggest challenges and opportunities of leveraging technology across business, education and public service.
Challenges facing some L&D professionals can include not understanding or completing the practical steps upfront and end up with solutions that sounded good during the demo but that led to multi-year implementation projects. Our keynote for this Link & Learn will also include some lessons learnt, practical advice, an overview of the type of offerings, how you go about requirement scoping and much more.
The panel discussion will be chaired by the Head of Innovation at Learning Pool, Lindsey Coode, who has a huge amount of experience in this space and will delve further into the latest innovations in L&D systems with a panel of experts from this field. As always we encourage audience participation and questions and will share any outputs post event. We will also give attendees the opportunity to network via our state of the art event platform Hopin.

Ilse consults and collaborates with clients to improve practices in learning design and employee development. During her career she has gained extensive experience in learning design, learning strategy & program management and technology-enhanced learning across a wide range of topics like onboarding and management/leadership development. Prior to joining Learnovate Ilse spent over 15 years working with the L&D team in Google.

Lindsey heads up Learning Pool Labs, their evidence-based research and ideas hub that seeks to create innovative learning solutions that maximize the potential of people and their organizations. As their previous Head of Learning Content she also has a solid grounding in learning theory and is passionate about creating products that really impact the learning process.

Gavin Woods is responsible for driving strategy, capability, development, and growth of the leading digital learning company. With over 15 years’ experience in learning technology solutions, Gavin champions the positive effects that engaging, effective learning can have on an organisation and has a passion for creating that learning that works for everyone.
Ciara MacNamara | Head of Digital Learning Platforms | Folens
Ciara has worked in educational publishing for 15 years, designing and developing digital educational solutions for the K12 market. She moved back from London in 2015 to head up the Digital Content Team at Folens. In her current position she manages the design and development of Folens’ different learning platforms and the implementation of digital products and services.
Jon Birks | Founder and Principal Consultant | Aristo Solutions
Aristo Solutions takes a holistic approach across content, platforms, data and most importantly human behaviours. Jon is currently working with IHG on the IHG Skills Academy, a LXP that is free to access for anyone anywhere and aims to deliver content to those people who have faced challenges accessing learning opportunities, giving people a helping hand into the jobs market. Implemented in nine languages and accessed in over 120 countries it includes content from partners such as Barnardo’s, Adecco, Princess Rainer Foundation, Learning Pool and many more. Jon’s passion for learner centred design, curation and a relentless focus on robust technologies has helped take the IHG Skills Academy to a global audience.
