We’re Hiring – Senior Business / Sales Development Manager

Learnovate is searching for a Business Development Manager, to be based in Dublin.  In this role, you will establish a professional services sales channel by initially selling introductory innovation and digital transformation service offers. You will then convert these deals to higher value offerings, using a consultative sales approach and focusing on the effective use of technology. Your target buyer will be L&D / HCM decision makers in mid to large sized enterprises. As part of the senior leadership team, you will also develop the commercial capabilities of the organisation and its team.

Hours of Work:37 Hours per Week

Standard Duties and Responsibilities of the Post:

  • Generate demand for professional services, within the L&D / HCM community in Ireland, through outbound sales activity and personal network development
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets
    • Manage a sales pipeline to deliver on client acquisition targets, revenue and profitability expectations
  • Generate and qualify optimum leads
    • Identify optimum leads and the key contacts in target organisations, converting them to opportunities
    • Nurture Learnovate’s and own network, building enduring relationships with current and future business potential
  • Sell
    • Educate the contact on the merits of Learnovate’s services
    • Year 1: Sell introductory offers to achieve year one revenue target
    • Year 2: Increase the number of larger value clients
  • Report on sales performance
    • Accurately track sales activity and deal progress
    • Formally and informally keep all stakeholders abreast of progress towards targets and milestones
  • Collaborate with and actively contribute to the professional and commercial development of the organisation, its processes, and the Learnovate team

Person Specification:

Qualifications

  • While a relevant business or technology related qualification is desirable, a proven track record in quota bearing sales roles will be prioritised.

Knowledge and Experience (Essential)

Proven track record in a senior and quota bearing Sales or Business Development role in a B2B environment
A track record of growing a sales channel via new business acquisition
Experience selling to senior Learning & Development or Human Capital Management buyers, in Ireland
Consultative sales expertise, gained in a professional services sales environment
Highly developed commercial expertise, with the ability and leadership to develop it in others
