Link & Learn webinar – Human Skills & AI

12 December 1pm to 2pm GMT

Our final Link & Learn webinar of 2024 will focus on AI and human skills. We have invited a range of experts in the field to shed light on this emerging topic with strong takeaaways and specific insights.

The keynote will be delivered by Dr. Arlene Egan, CEO of Roffey Park Institute.

“AI and the Skill of Critical Thinking”

At a time where organisations and leaders are considering their AI journey, the human skill of critical thinking has never been more important. This journey seems complex and ambiguous for so many and therefore the type and quality of the questions we are asking need should be considered. Ensuring that Critical Thinking plays a part in the planning and evaluation phases of your AI journey can support decision making and also offer reassurance that the right type of thinking has been used. Often in times of complexity, stress or challenge it is natural for us to revert to quick and trusted forms of thinking, yet this is not the type of thinking we need. Join me on the 12th of Dec to examine how to create a critical thinking framework for thinking about the big questions relating to AI integration and your organisation.

During this talk we will explore

  1. The current landscape leaders find themselves in when planning their AI integration journey.
  2. The common pitfalls driving decision making for leaders in considering AI integration
  3. How to develop a critical thinking framework to help you to think through your AI journey.

You will leave with insight into how to think critically about your approach to AI integration and if you are not quite there, you will have ideas on how to begin conversations about this within your organisation.

Panel Discussion “Future-Proofing the Workforce: Human Skills and AI in Harmony”

We will also be joined by a panel of experts for a discussion on the wider skills landscape which will be chaired by Ciara Garvan the founder of WorkJuggle who run employee skills training courses. Ciara will be joined by Declan McNiff the Managing Director of Realtime Recruitment, Siobhan Hanrahan Global Director of Learning, Quality, Coaching Programs at eBay and Helen McMahon Skills Policy and Strategic Partnerships Lead at Enterprise Ireland.
