Mary joined the Foundation team in June 2014 to take up the role of Global CEO, with responsibility for all of CoderDojo’s Operations & delivering growth worldwide. CoderDojo currently operates 700+ free of charge coding clubs in 57 countries around the world reaching approximately 30,000 kids & young people aged from 7 to 17 on a regular basis and having reached over 50,000 in the last couple of years.

Previously a Partner at Accenture with 20+ years in lead positions within Accenture including operating at C-level both internally and for Irish and International organisations.

A Law graduate from Trinity College Dublin, Mary is very active in community and business organisations:
Board member of both the Dublin Fringe Festival and of the Professional Women’s Network.
She is also an active member of an number of professional & technology organisations, including; The digital skills working
group at IBEC, the Digital Working Group at the Institute of International and European Affairs, the Institute of Directors etc.

She is an author of a range of articles on Technology Trends, Coding, Education, Digital Economy, Improving Business Performance
and on Strategic Change Management and has been a Guest Lecturer and speaker on these themes at a number of International Conferences & Institutions e.g. Web Summit, SouthxSouthWest, MozFest, Salesforce World Tour etc.

She has a track record in:

  • Operating at C-level, has filled MD, CEO, COO & Talent / HR Director level roles within Accenture and on an interim basis at financial services, professional services and high-tech clients
  • Defining & delivering double digit improvement based strategic change programmes with clients in Ireland, UK, EMEA and globally across a range of industries in particular within media, electronics, communications, technology, banking and insurance sectors.

In 2014, Mary was awarded as runner up CEO of the Year in the Image Business Awards & as one of the top 100 Women in STEM by Silicon Republic. In 2015, she was awarded as a “Woman of Influence 2015” by Irish Tatler. She secured CoderDojo’s listing as a Nominet Trust top global organisation. She is also a Failte Ireland Ambassador
