Stephen Comiskey

Stephen holds a BSc. in Science Education from Dublin City University (DCU).  In November 2018 Stephen is expected to graduate with a PhD from DCU in which he examined post-primary teachers’ integration of technology into their teaching and learning, as well as the barriers to successful integration.

Stephen has spent four years teaching in a variety of post-primary schools covering subjects such as Science, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. In 2015 Stephen became one of the authors of Investigating Science, a Science book designed for the new Junior Cycle Science specifications. During his PhD Stephen also developed and lectured on a technology integration module designed for preservice science teachers. Stephen’s expertise lies in investigating and identifying teacher’s pedagogical considerations for technology as well as their attitudes and beliefs towards teaching and learning.
