Michael Hallissy
Digital Learning Consultant
Michael Hallissy is a digital learning consultant. He has worked on three digital strategies for schools with the Department of Education and Skills and he also worked with the DES in developing their new Digital Learning Framework for schools. He also worked closely with the DES on the creation of their recent STEM Educational Policy and Implementation Plan.
He has just recently begun working with the European Commission’s ET2020 Working Group on matters associated with their new Digital Education Action Plan. Michael has also worked extensively with SOLAS on matters related to their TEL Strategy and is currently engaged in a number of projects associated with blended learning in schools and in FET.
He is keenly interested in how digital technologies can support teaching, learning and assessment practices across all sectors of education and in particular in adult education. He and his colleagues in H2 Learning regularly participate in European funded projects to explore how educational practices can be transformed so they better meet the needs of society in today’s globally connected society.
