Christopher Mathews

Christopher is the strategy and partnership lead for the global education team and the former global head for primary and secondary education at Amazon Web Services. He is dedicated to helping edtech companies and educational institutions drive large-scale transformation, ensuring equitable and engaging learning experiences for all students.

Before joining AWS, Christopher led strategy and commercial efforts for global edtech giants such as Scholastic, Discovery Education, and 3P Learning, where he focused on expanding digital solutions to accelerate student growth, amplify teacher impact, and inspire daily learning. Additionally, he has advised early-stage B2B and D2C educational startups across China, EMEA, and the US.

Christopher began his career as a primary school teacher and holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and master’s degrees in Education, Psychology, and Business Administration.
