Interim Director of The Learnovate Centre and Founder of EdTech Ventures Consultancy Services, Peter has worldwide experience in the design and development of digital education solutions working with the highest level of government organisations, NGOs, and senior executives at Industry partners. Peter has significant experience with large country-wide education strategy deployments.
Peter founded EdTech Ventures Consultancy Services with clients including Microsoft, HP, Sage Publishing, Ingram, VitalSource, Sureskills and several SMEs and startups in the EdTech sector. Currently Interim Director of The Learnovate Centre, Peter has been a member of the Learnovate Steering Group since its founding.
Peter has 35 years’ experience in the IT Industry since 1983 including almost 20 years of EdTech experience in Leadership Positions designing, developing and driving business development in Education Technology at Intel Corporation. He led the development of the skoool.com initiative worldwide from 2000 to 2012, which brought digital education solutions to 35 countries in 15 languages for which he won the National Digital Media Award – digital media person of the year 2004, and a World Summit of the Information Society Award 2005 for the development of open learning solutions.
Peter has significant experience with large country-wide education strategy deployments including the Jordan Education initiative, Kenya and Rwanda digital curriculum strategy, the Magellan project in Portugal and major digital content initiatives in South America, Spain and the Middle East. From 2003 to 2008, Peter was the director of a major collaboration between Intel Corporation, the London Grid for Learning, and DfES – supporting the digital elements of the London Challenge to improve education standards.
